Paper Piecing with Freezer Paper

Interested in learning Foundation Paper Piecing? Have you tried the freezer paper method? In this three-hour class with Debbie B., you'll learn how to use freezer paper and a quarter inch ruler for foundation paper piecing in your next quilt.

Freezer Paper Piecing

This is a Skill Building Class taught by
Debbie Bookman

Supplies:
Freezer Paper Piecing Patterns will be provided.

Sewing machine, with power cord and foot pedal and 80/12 needle. Please bring instruction manual to class.

¼“ foot or open toe foot. You want to have a good view where your needle is.

A small personal iron and ironing mat. Wool mats work great for this
technique, but not mandatory.

Small cutting mat approximately 8 x 8.

Rotary cutter (I like using a 45mm)

Add a Quarter Plus ruler. If you have the older version (without the plus) that is fine. I personally use the 6” but the 12” works too.
The Village Quilt Shop carries these.

Small ruler. I use a 4/1/2” x 12”.

Fabric no larger than fat quarters are needed in shades of green, red and white for a poinsettia block and other colored scraps for a second block we will make. A contrasting background fabric as well for the second block. Can be the same as the first block.
