Lunch and Learn - The Art of Sashiko

In a February Lunch and Learn session we'll be talking about the art of Sashiko embroidery and it's place in quilting. Meaning "little stabs" in Japanese, Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique used for both decorative and functional purposes. Get a chance to start your own Sashiko embroidery piece, learn about thread, needles, and different uses for this beautiful needlework. This session will be 60-90 minutes in length. Lunch is included! Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.

Quilting 102: Skill Builder Class

The Quilting 102: Skill Builder Class is designed to help you up your quilting game! With the class, get a better 1/4 inch seam allowance, have your points match as they should, learn standard block designs, and learn tips and tricks to make your quilting journey easier. This is a six-session class that will begin just before Christmas and go approximately every two weeks until the end of February. Students should be a confident beginner with a working sewing machine and the knowledge/experience to work said machine. Fabric kits will be made available for an additional cost.
